As a parent of two young soccer players, and a competitive soccer player of 30+ years, I often find myself in conflict over how to talk to my boys about sport. These ideas from John O’Sullivan make a lot of sense to me. I do “love watching them play.” Thanks for checking it out.

Our club will be forming U11 and U12 girls and boys teams for the 2016-2017 soccer season. Select teams for 2016-2017 will be formed based on birth year. The birth year for U11 players is 2006 and the birth year for U12 is 2005. Players are allowed to play up in age, but they are not allowed to play down.

Monday, June 6th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Menomonee Falls High School Varsity Soccer Field
Players will have an opportunity to play pickup games with other boys and girls their age…and meet some of the Select coaching staff for 2016-2017.
Parents will also have a chance to ask questions regarding the Falls Kickers programs starting at 7:00 pm with a general meeting for all families.

U-11 and U12 Girls: Monday 5:00pm-6:30pm, Tuesday 6:30pm-8:00pm
U-11 and U 12 Boys: Monday 6:30pm-8:00pm, Tuesday 5:00pm-6:30pm
All players are encouraged to attend both days of tryouts. Please arrive early to register
U11 and U12 players will tryout together, but offers to join these teams will be made primarily based on appropriate birth year. Please bring the Tryout Registration form (and the $10 tryout fee) to the first night of tryouts. MK Falls Tryout Registration Form
We would be pleased if all of our eligible players joined these tryouts. It can be a stressful time as kids tryout for teams. We will do our very best to form competitive teams at each age group. We appreciate your interest, cooperation and understanding as we go through the process.
These are not fully set yet. We would ask those who are trying out NOT to register until the Select teams are formed. We will have a better idea as to the cost by tryouts, but it is expected to be under $1000. This would cover: coaching fees, uniforms, training, referee fees, registration fees, insurance, field maintenance, tournaments, indoor sessions during the winter, and club administrative fees. We try to make it an “all in” cost, if possible…and we believe this is a competitive cost compared to other local clubs.
NOTE: Be careful when comparing costs. Most clubs do not quote or collect “all in” fees. There are often many unidentified fees that are collected after the team is formed.
